Transform any small balcony into a snack garden this spring with Seeds2Sow’s Balcony Snack Kit. This guide (Mar–May focus) covers quick-harvest veggies and summer staples: tabletop greens (radish, lettuce, carrot), compact deep-pot crops (onion, beans), and showy summer plants (tiny tomatoes, peppers, cucamelon). We also include microgreens and chili tips. Credible trends back this approach: the RHS notes that rising living costs drive people to “grow their own” with dwarf varieties that are “fresh, small in size and… naturally sweet”.
With EU-adapted seeds shipping from the Netherlands, all advice is tailored for Dutch/European growers.

You don't need a large garden to help pollinators: even 1–2 m² (a small section of border, a strip along a fence, or a few large pots on a balcony/patio) can make an impact. Seeds2Sow sells EU-native, mostly perennial wildflower seeds (no generic "bee mixes") and ships from the Netherlands throughout the EU. Each package contains a QR code to a clear Grow Guide (sowing timing, pots, care, what to expect in year 1 vs. year 2).
Why native-rich? Many wild bees are not generalists and are (partly) dependent on specific pollen-producing plants. A native-rich planting increases the likelihood of finding suitable food, provides nectar and pollen throughout the season, and becomes fuller each year once the plants are established.
Also suitable for pots, provided you use larger containers (more stable moisture), have good drainage, don't overfertilize, and above all: choose the right climate zone:
Cool Atlantic (cooler/wetter): for the Netherlands/Belgium/Lutheran/Iceland/Denmark/Scandinavia/Baltic regions and cool coastal zones; prefers slightly moist but well-draining soil.
Temperate (most EU): widely applicable in temperate Europe; prefers average, well-drained soil.
Warm & Dry (warm/dry): for Mediterranean summers and dry zones; requires sun and poor, fast-draining soil.
